Yesterday I sent out Global Cooling - A Tall Tale. Received some interesting responses on the Email Preferences page. For example:
Our Financial Woes Are Over
Thanks to Bill Gates, Warren Buffet and an unnamed foreign potentate, we are expecting to shortly receive billions of dollars in donations. I am glad that they took the trouble to click the appropriate boxes in the questionnaire. I am surprised that they didn't click on the donation button to send the donations immediately using PayPal or a credit card, but I am thinking that for such large amounts maybe they need to send a check.
At this time we will still accept other donations however, just on the off-chance that the donations from the billionaires are delayed for some reason.
Other Boxes Were Also Clicked On
Nobody asked to be removed from the mailing list. Only two people requested reduced mailings. Most people were happy with the mailings I have been sending out so far. So that is a relief. Of course, if I keep sending out e-mails, I cannot expect this much tolerance forever.
