Money Saving Tips Column

It
occurs to me that we spend entirely too much time and money on these
large elaborate holidays. This is very wasteful. The only holiday we
really get any mileage out of is Christmas, and yet Christmas Day is
only one day out of the year. Christmas Eve is even shorter. Sure we
hang onto the Christmas spirit, but how long does that one last? ---
And in between, life gets a little dull for most.
It has come to
my attention, with all the preparation and decorating going on, that we
should celebrate each of the big holidays for one month at a time.
There's Christmas, Easter, Mothers’ Day, Fathers' Day, St. Patrick's
Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving -- to name a few.... and how about our
Birthday's??? Yea!!! That could be great.
We could lead
sort of theme oriented lives. On the months where there is no
particular holiday, we could make one up!!! Many thoughts are coming to
me here. For those of you who need a little help we could post the
holiday of the month here, but feel free to trade it for your birthday
month, wherever applicable.
Happy Holiday Month to all!!!
